To My Dad

You are very wise.

You live life on your own terms.

You always know the answer to final Jeopardy.

You taught me being perfect isn't realistic, but something to strive for.

You gave me your sense of humor...and your thighs.

(I'm grateful for the humor, not so much the thighs.)

You always urged me to be independent, and I am.

You are a fantastic Grandpa.

You always accept my life decisions, even if you don't agree with them.

You never say "I told you so."

I understand you feel no man will ever be good enough for me.

I know you have regrets, I forgive you for them all.

I love you, Dad.
